Pole Dance
Classes marked on the schedule as Pole Beginners or Pole Inter are technical classes dedicated to learning pole dance moves, tricks and spins. You will learn to combine these moves together in combos on static pole, as well as on spinning pole. You will gradually build muscles and improve your flexibility, until you’re ready to move on to the next level.
We currently have 4 different levels for our technical pole dance classes:
Beginners 1 (for complete beginners)
Beginners 2
Intermediate 1
Intermediate 2
Please note! For the Pole Beginners 1 level, we only accept new students in the 30 days following the Tryout classes, to prevent a huge gap between the students in the class and ensure a cohesive progression for all. Tryout classes (and the Pole Basics series) are typically organized at the end of December/beginning of January, in March, June & September.
After 10 to 20 classes, depending on the level, you should be able to master most of the moves of a specific level, and move on to the next level of classes (providing you are regular with your attendance). If the instructor thinks you are not ready, she will have a chat with you. Don’t take it personally, we are just looking out for you!
Pole Dance classes are 75 minutes long. We start with a cardio warm-up before moving on to tricks and combos. Teachers will usually try to incorporate both static and spinning combos during a class. At the end of the class, we always stretch for a little while.
