Jessica Nielsen

FOUNDER & HEAD TEACHER

Jessica has been poledancing since 2012. She founded The Pole Temple in 2020 and currently teaches the most advanced pole class, several exotic classes and the Open Level class.

  • As a child, Jessica was a little monkey and liked to climb up trees, rather than play with dolls. She did gymnastics until 10 years old, and took hip-hop dance classes until 18 years old.

She discovered poledancing in 2012, and got hooked on her very first class, enjoying the combination of fun and challenge. She competed nationally in 2014, and then again in 2016 and 2019. She has been teaching since 2015.

Over the years, she started practicing Exotic Pole with heels on, and that felt like a whole new discipline to learn. It is more about dancing, having a sexy attitude, and paying attention to the smallest details, like your hair flick and staying on the tip of the shoes.

"Pole dance and Exotic pole have brought me a level of self-confidence I didn't know I could have. I am forever grateful for having been introduced to these disciplines. The international community of pole dancers is one of the most supportive ones you will ever come across. Practicing pole has brought me many friends, and I've had the opportunity to meet incredible souls."

In 2019, Jessica won 3rd place at the Belgian Pole Dance Championship in the Professional category & 4th place in the Exotic Professional category. In 2022, she placed 1st at the Mystique Art competition in the Netherlands, in the Exotic “Flow & Art” category (professionals). She likes flexible tricks and splits, spinning combos, as well as the sensual side of pole.

Ruby

STRENGTH & FLEX - HEELS - DANCE

Ruby started teaching the Strengh & Flex class in 2022. Today, she also teaches various themed pole classes like Heels Choreo, Pole Choreo, Handstands and Low Flow.

  • Ruby started at an early age with classical and modern dance, which evolved to contemporary later on. She finished her training at Performact in Portugal and has been working with several Belgian companies through the years. Ruby has a love for acrobatics, floorwork and partnering. She likes to combine this all with a sauce of flexibility.

She started teaching the Strength & Flex class at The Pole Temple in 2022, a class that focuses on strength conditioning for pole as well as improving overall flexibility, so as to create beautiful lines on the pole.

After about a year of taking pole & exotic pole classes, Ruby started teaching her first choreographies on heels in the Exotic Pole 1 class, where she unleashes her creativity and can let her love for movement flow with a dash of sensuality.

You can find Ruby at The Pole Temple every now and then for a themed Pole class (choreo, low flow, handstands), Heels Choreo, or Strength & Flex class.

Katrien

POLE DANCE - FLEXIBILITY

Katrien started taking pole classes in 2016 and joined our team in 2022. She currently teaches the Tuesday classes Pole Beginners 2 and Pole Inter 1.

  • Katrien's sporty journey started when she was 6 and her parents put her in the local gymclub. After only a few lessons she got moved to the competition team because of her flexibility.

At the age of 14 she started dancing. She followed ballet classes, jazz and hiphop, and was also part of the core team of the school. At 24, she decided to take up another dancing style: salsa, in which she found a new passion.

In 2016 she discovered pole, a sport that changed her life. It started with one class per week, but soon also workshops, more classes in different schools, going to pole camps, trying pole with heels and enjoying chair dance workshops. She followed classes in international schools like Studio Françoise (Paris) and Pole Dance Factory (Amsterdam) and takes any opportunity to follow workshops with international teachers.

She has been teaching pole dance and flexibility in Leuven for a few years now and has taught in several schools in Brussels.

Pole dance changed her life for the better in all possible ways and she wants her students to experience the same.

EXOTIC POLE

Yuliya started her pole journey at The Pole Temple in July 2021. She started teaching Exotic Pole classes in November 2023.

  • Yuliya began her pole dancing journey in 2021 at The Pole Temple, quickly falling in love with Exotic Pole for its unique blend of grace, sensuality, strength, and acrobatics.

With a background in fitness, CrossFit, and musical education, she rapidly advanced in performing challenging moves in sync with music.

In 2023, Yuliya completed an Exotic Pole Teacher Training program with Jessica Nielsen and began teaching Exotic Pole 1 classes at The Pole Temple in Brussels.

Yuliya is dedicated to ongoing professional development, actively participating in workshops and continuing education at pole and dance studios. She has trained with renowned international instructors such as @sashameow_poledance, @daphnelux, @tatjanavanonna, @alekkssa, @wesMarx, and many others.

In her classes, Yuliya combines pole sequences with floorwork, experimenting with various dancing styles, from exotic flow to more energetic styles featuring faster movements, jumps, and tricks, often infused with a touch of sassiness and sensuality.

Yuliya shares her passion and skills with students, helping them discover their strength and sensuality through pole dance.

You can find Yuliya at The Pole Temple, occasionally teaching Exotic Pole 1.

Inne

POLE DANCE

Inne has been following pole & exotic classes at The Pole Temple since June 2021. She started teaching the Pole Beginners 1 class in May 2024.

  • Inne started taking pole dance classes in June 2021 and did not look back. Right away, she also started following Exotic classes, coming twice a week, all year long.

After spending many years in the swimming pool in her younger years, she then made the switch to dance, trying different styles such as funk, hip-hop and belly dance.

And then she found pole dancing. The perfect mix of flexibility, which she really enjoys, and strength. Building muscles and gaining back some lost flexibility while doing bad ass tricks, is what motivated her to keep going and she hasn't stopped since, participating in her first competition in January 2024 in the Netherlands.

The next month, Inne followed the Pole Teacher Training with Jessica and started teaching the Beginners 1 class shortly after, together with Romy.

"With pole, you will be impressed with what your body is capable of doing and you will feel more confident than ever."

Romy

POLE DANCE

Romy’s pole journey started at The Pole Temple in January 2022. In May 2024, she started teaching the Pole Beginners 1 class.

  • Romy's first encounter with pole dates back to 2019, during a graphic design internship she did.

One evening, she noticed some girls who came to practice in a common room where a stage pole was placed. It was then and there, that Romy knew she would become a poledancer. They flew around the pole so gracefully... she knew she had to learn to do that too.

It took Romy 3 more years to take the plunge: she signed up for a tryout class at The Pole Temple in January 2022.

Romy started her journey without actually knowing anything about pole or what kind of strength it would require, but with a crystal clear idea in her head of what it would feel like.

In the past, she did a little bit of sports here and there, but was never a real sports woman, with no dance background, and certainly no flexibility what so ever.

Pole was never easy, and it still isn't, but it has become a passion. Romy fell in love with dancing, challenging herself, achieving goals by learning new tricks, slowly getting stronger and more flexible, seeing herself grow, and gain confidence.

Pole dancing became Romy's outlet, and she swears no bad day survives after a pole dance session!

Her passion keeps growing, so much so that in February 2024, she followed the Pole Teacher Training and now teaches the Beginners 1 class together with Inne.

"I love living by the mantra: if you really want it, and work for it, nothing is impossible!"

Anna

POLE DANCE

Anna has been following pole classes at the Pole Temple since June 2022 and started teaching the level Pole Beginners 1 in September 2024.

  • After her years at university, where she stopped all sports to focus on her studies, Anna tried pole for the first time in 2022 and has been obsessed ever since. Weekly trainings at the studio quickly turned into multiple trainings a week and when she is not poledancing, she is either watching pole videos, talking about it or thinking about it. She has come to live and breathe the sport. The week she had her 100th training at the studio, 18 months after starting, she also got on stage and took part in her very first competition in the Netherlands, placing second in the category Intermediate 1.

In her youth, she did various sports, ranging from tennis to judo, hip-hop to golf, and many many more. Always curious to try and never scared to fail as it is a very important part of any process. The world is her playground. Today, she is very focused on pole and spends most of her time in the studio or at the gym, combining strength training for pole with calisthenics. She is now focused on competing again and preparing for her second competition in April 2025.

The impact pole has had on her life and what this sport can do for you, is something she loves to share with anyone willing to give it a shot. That is why she chose to follow the Pole Teacher Training with Jessica in February 2024 and now loves teaching the beginners classes, the introduction series Pole Basics or the Pole Tryouts.

"Being able to introduce more people to this remarkable sport feels like an honor. This is probably also why I have such high energy during my class. Knowing I'm able to introduce them to something that will make them feel alive and that will make them uncover a level of strength they didn't know they had, is incredibly exciting."
